Hello! I'm Kristin. I’m a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, Nationally Board Certified Health Coach and Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist.
At home, I live a full, wonderfully messy life with a dog who eats everything and a family of choosy, always opinionated eaters. Maybe like you, I juggle the complexities of time, differing food preferences and a variety of health needs. It isn't always easy! That’s why I approach nutrition and lifestyle with a healthy dose of realism, flexibility, and empathy.
I love to learn about, grow, cook, create, explore and (of course) eat food. In work, I bring this curiosity to build relationships and support people with practical, real life health solutions grounded in science and compassion. Food can be enjoyable AND support our health.
I’ve spent the bulk of my career at the Veterans Administration working with Veterans with an expanse of health care goals and needs and I have specialized in the nutritional treatment of chronic conditions of diabetes and obesity. Through that work, I've come to deeply understand that food is never just about nutrients or food groups. It’s deeply personal. It's tied to our culture, our family, our emotions, our finances, our personal history, our community, and so much more. That’s why my approach goes beyond the basics to help people navigate the numerous challenges of cooking, eating and feeding ourselves and others.
